Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data EditSVG.online collects when you use editsvg.online, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. Protecting your privacy is a core part of how we built this service.

1. Who is responsible (data controller)

Converter App OÜ is the controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for all processing described here.

2. Using the service without an account

You do not need to register or provide your name, e-mail address or any other personal details to use EditSVG.online. The service can be used completely anonymously.

3. Your SVG files

EditSVG.online works entirely in your web browser. When you open an SVG, the file is read and edited on your own device; it is not uploaded to our servers.

• Local storage: while you edit, the drawing and its file name are kept in your browser's local storage, so a page reload does not lose your work. This data never leaves your device; you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
• Download: "Download SVG" creates the file in your browser and saves it on your device.
• No secondary use: since we never receive your files, we cannot view, sell, share or train AI models on them.

4. Google Drive (optional)

If you choose "Import from Drive" or "Save to Drive", you sign in with Google in a Google window and grant this site access only to the files you pick or create with it (Google's drive.file permission). The file is transferred directly between your browser and Google Drive; it does not pass through our servers, and we do not store your Google access token. Legal basis: performance of the function you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.

5. Server logs

Like practically every website, our servers automatically record technical data for each request: your IP address, date and time, the page or file requested, the HTTP status, the amount of data transferred, the referring page and your browser/operating system. We use these logs to keep the service running, to detect abuse and attacks, and to diagnose errors. Logs are deleted after a short period. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and stable service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Cookies

EditSVG.online itself does not use cookies for tracking. Your current drawing is kept in your browser's local storage (see section 3); it is not sent to us and not used to identify or track you.

Third-party cookies set by our advertising partner are described in section 8. You can change your choices at any time via the cookie settings icon at the bottom of the page.

7. Website analytics

To understand how the site is used, we use Plausible Analytics, a lightweight, open-source analytics tool that works without cookies and without collecting personal data. It does not track you across websites and is fully GDPR-compliant. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

8. Advertising

EditSVG.online is free because it is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense / Google Ads to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show personalised ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, and in doing so processes your IP address and device information.

• Personalised advertising is only enabled with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings icon at the bottom of the page.
• You can also opt out of ad personalisation in your Google Ads settings.
• Details on how Google uses data from partner sites: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

9. Contact by e-mail

If you write to us, we process your e-mail address and the contents of your message in order to reply. We delete this correspondence once your request is resolved, unless we are legally required to keep it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15);
• have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
• have your data erased (Art. 17);
• restrict processing (Art. 18);
• receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21);
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal (Art. 7(3)).

To exercise any of these rights, e-mail info@converter.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or the authority in your country of residence.

12. Security

The website is served exclusively over SSL/TLS. Because your files are edited in your browser, they are not transmitted to or stored on our servers at all. On shared computers, clear the browser's site data after editing so that the last drawing is not kept in local storage.

13. Children

Our service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our service or the law changes. The current version is always available at editsvg.online/privacy/, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
